CPX: Control Panel for VPS/MPS
CPX is a powerful control panel that provides an intuitive web interface to administer your VPS v2 or MPS v2
accounts. Many of the day-to-day account management tasks can now be performed through CPX. In addition to user
and domain management, CPX also offers an enhanced web-based email interface and mail management modules.
One of the key benefits of CPX is how it empowers virtual subhosts
on VPS v2 accounts. CPX was designed in a tiered model, giving you the ability to create domain administrators
with end user management control. This allows each subhost and its respective end users the ability to setup
and control their own accounts. This is a big step forward for Resellers who use
Virtual Subhosting on their accounts.
The initial release of CPX includes the following modules:
A full-featured email management interface to read, store and compose email, manage folders, apply spam filters,
store contact information, and manage autoresponders.
The user management module allows you to add or delete users, manage domain admin accounts, and view the
status of user accounts.
Manage your domains easily with the ability to add or delete sub-hosts, set limits on the number of users
and email accounts, manage logs, and setup catchall email rules.
This module provides the management of email so you can easily add or delete email aliases, edit account
settings, or even setup broadcast lists.
Customize your settings to your personal preferences. Change your password, shell and even the date/time
display for your account.

Future Releases
Future releases of CPX will further enhance your ability to manage your accounts. You can look forward to a
full-featured control panel that provides an easy to use interface with the following additions:

- Advanced Help
- Server Administration
- Globalization
- Branding Editor
- Backroom integration
- Capability to add your own customized modules
Additionally, the underlying architecture of CPX has been designed to allow Resellers to create their own
unique control panels in the future. CPX is built on extensible and standards-based technologies. The CPX
application is, in fact, a framework for building XML applications. The functional layer of this framework,
dubbed "VSAP", is a modular collection of Perl classes to handle everything from adding domains to editing
users to reading email. Data is delivered in XML to the upper application layer, an XSLT processor running
under Apache with mod_perl, enabling a complete separation of content, instruction, and function. In time,
we intend to open this framework to allow customers to greatly brand, extend, and otherwise modify it for
their own use. Performance enhancements, developer documentation, and quality localization support are all
current priorities for our development group. More information and documentation will be forthcoming in the
future.
