This article explains how to Safelist an email address or IP address in the webmail interface to ensure important messages are delivered to your inbox.
What does Safelisting accomplish?
In short, Safelisting an address is a rule that moves any spam message from the address you Safelisted to the Inbox so that you do not miss the message. If you need to Blacklist a sender see: Blacklist addresses, domains and IPs in hosted email webmail.
Warning: Safelisting DOES NOT prevent a sender from being flagged as spam or from being blocked.
Add a Safelisted email address or domain
- Log in to the mailbox you wish to forward at https://www.alpinewebmail.net
- Click your email address in the upper right hand corner and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Click Spam Settings on the left hand side of the pop up box.
- Select the second tab labeled Safelist.
- Click Add under the box titled Safelisted Domains & Email Addresses.
- You will be prompted with a box title Add Safelisted Domain or Email Address. Enter the domain or email address you wish to Safelist list in the field under Enter a domain or email address and click Add.
- Confirm the address is now listed in the box under Safelisted Domains & Email Addresses, then click Save.
Add a Safelisted IP address
If you need to Safelist and IP, follow steps 1-4 above and continue here.
- Click Add under the box titled Safelisted IP Addresses.
- You will be prompted with a box title Add Safelisted IP Address. Enter the IP address you wish to Safelist in the field under Enter an IP address(or range) and click Add.
- Confirm the address is now listed in the box under Safelisted Domains & Email Addresses, then click Save.
